Renée Mascari
Renée’s design experience covers both commercial and domestic Interiors with a particular focus on living spaces and kitchens. A professional designer with extensive design/build and project management experience. Concentrating on the application of design techniques that represent today’s lifestyles, trends and technology.
Renée has been a lecturer at South Nottingham College and currently delivers bespoke courses on ‘The Principles of Kitchen Design’ at Mascari School of Design in Nottingham, which is an accredited PIABC (awarding body) centre. As well as lecturing, she is an Industry Kitchen, Bathroom and Living Space Design award Judge.
In recent years she was appointed Chief Executive of the Kitchen Bedroom and Bathroom (KBB) National Training Group with a remit to develop education for the KBB sector and worked with Industry partners and Bucks New University to develop the foundation degree in Kitchen Design as well as awarding bodies in the development of industry specific apprenticeships.
In 2005 Renée received an award for Excellence from the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT), in 2014 received the KBB Review ‘Special Achievement’ award for contributions made to the development of the foundation degree course in Kitchen Design and in 2018 was awarded the ‘Services to Industry’ award from the Kitchen and Bathroom Designer Awards.
In December 2015 Renėe was installed as a Liveryman of The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers and was honoured to receive the Freedom of the City of London.
